Along Galway's River Corrib, just outside the National University, a fisherman.
The site where one-time Galway mayor John Lynch "lynched" his own son for murder. The executioner wisely refused to hang the mayor's son. The gallow is on the left. And, yes, that is where we get the ghoulish term.
Nora Barnacle's home when Joyce met her, in Galway, along the river. We celebrated Bloomsday, June 16, 2005, here, with a pint of Murphy's and a bit of song. These dwellings are called "one-ups", a reference to the one bedroom upstairs.
