This memorial to the mostly Lakota, Cheyenne and Arapaho Indians who lived, fought and died on and near Little Bighorn battlefield was completed in July 2003.
This is a view of the front of Pompeys Peak, the giant granite slab on which William Clark affixed one of America's first examples of graffiti, his name and the date he visited the peak, on his way through Montana to St. Louis.
